Swadeshi strengthens Apsara Venivel range Swadeshi Industrial Works Ltd., the herbal personal care products manufacturer has extended its popular Apsara Venivel range with the launch of 'Apsara Venivel shampoo' in 100 ml bottles, with a pleasant fragrance. This ayurvedic beauty shampoo, is the country's first ever Venivel shampoo, the company said. It will be an important addition to the exciting Apsara Venivel products portfolio, comprising soap, talc and shampoo sachets. "The excellent market response to the sachets which were launched two years ago, influenced us to extend the product line to further strengthen the range", a spokesperson for Swadeshi said. Apsara Venivel shampoo contains unique natural herbal extracts such as Venivelgeta, one of the best known and widely used indigenous herbs in Sri Lanka, as well as Sawendara and Madatiya leaves. The shampoo has been developed at the highest quality standards and has been extensively tested at the company's Research and Development facility, rated one of the best laboratories in this country for testing personal care products. Swadeshi recently received ISO 9001:2000 International Quality Management Certification from the Sri Lanka Standards Institute (SLSI), which covers the quality management systems pertaining to the production of all personal care products and laundry care products in the company's portfolio.
