Trinity fancied to beat St. Anthony's in limited-over game by S.M. JIFFREY ABDEEN - Kandy Sports Corr Trinity College, Kandy, should have the edge when they take on St. Anthony's College in their 24th limited over clash which will be played at Katugastota today (March 21) with play commencing at 9.45 a.m. The Antonians lead the series with 13 wins while the Trinitians have 8 wins with two matches ending in 'No Decisions' due to rain. Last year's battle ended without a result so was the match of 1993 with rain interfering play on both occasions. The highest total in the series is by the Antonians who scored 276 for 5 wickets off 45 overs in 1993 and 276 for 8 in 50 overs in 1980. Trinity's highest total is 229 for 5 in 41 overs in 1998. Trinity is also credited with the lowest total when they were dismissed for 70 in 1983. The Antonians make their lowest total of 108 in 1986. The shortest match was in 1987 when Trinity were skittled out for 94 in 26 overs and the Antonians reached their target of 95 in 25 overs.
