St. Peter's athletic champs for third year St. Peter's College, Bambalapitiya emerged champions for the third consecutive year at the Colombo Circuit Athletic Championships at the Sugathadasa Stadium recently. They were overall champions in all age groups. The Peterites emerged overall champions (Junior, Senior and Relay) with 233 points. Hashan Jayatillke was adjudged 'Best Athlete' in the under-13 age group, Ranil Jayawardene the under-15 champion, Sharmal Gunawardene the under-19 champion and Dushan Dharmasiri the under-21 champion. Jeevaratnam Jayanthan Sri Ruban won the 100 and 200 metres in the under-21 age group. (L.G.) |
