Feedback rocks the Blue Leopard It's an exciting different scene at the Blue Leopard on Sunday evenings when the new band Feedback is in action playing a wide repertoire of music for the enjoyment of Sunday night groovers. Led by Asela Fernando keyboardist/vocalist, who needs no introduction to the music scene, the band comprises well experienced musicians who have been synonymous with music not only in Sri Lanka, but also abroad playing at Maldives, Dubai and Bahrein. Their night club music could be lapped up by those who enjoy commercial songs and the top 40 favourites, rock songs and reggae. But this does not mean that they are restricted in their repertoire. The band has been performing for formal dances and enjoying themselves on stage. Feedback comprises Asela Fernando keyboards/vocals, Ashendra Fernando the brother on bass, Shane Karunaratne a product of St. Peter's, who handles the load of the vocals, and is recognised for his interpretation of many rock nuggets. Steven Joseph is the lead guitarist in the band chipping in on vocals and keeping the musicians together is the drummer Ravi Jayawickrema one time performing with the well acclaimed band 20th Century. So with such experienced musicians who have banded together, there's no doubt their music will keep you on your feet grooving till the early hours of dawn. Make the date with Feedback on Sundays at the legendary Blue Leopard night club at the GOH. |
