Nine May Day rallies this time

Nine May Day rallies, eight of which in Colombo will be held to commemorate the International Workers' Day.

United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA) will hold their rally at the Town Hall grounds. People's Alliance will converge at the Campbell Park at 10 am and proceed to the Town hall along Baseline road, Borella Junction, Maradana, Siemen's Road, Dean's Road and Kannangara Mawatha.

The JVP will meet at the BRC Grounds at 9 am and will proceed to the Town Hall along Havelock Road, Park Road, Elvitigala Mawatha, Cemetery Junction, Kynsey Road, Horton Place and C. W. W. Kannangara Mawatha.

The Lanka Sama Samaja Party (LSSP), the Communist Party (CP) and the Lanka Welada and Podu Kamkaru Sangamaya will join the rally at the Town Hall.

The LSSP, CP and the Lanka Welada and Podu Kamkaru Sangamaya will meet near the Dr. N. M. Perera statue at Cotta Road and will proceed to the Campbell Park via the cotta Road and Baseline Road.

The Lanka Karmika Podu Sevaka Sangamaya will meet opposite the Colombo Plaza Hotel and proceed to the Hyde Park along Galle Road, Galle Face Road, Justice Akbar Mawatha, Slave Island and Union Place. The May Day rally of the July Strikers will be held at the Public Library, Colombo.

The United Socialist Party will hold its May Day rally at the Kosgashandiya, Grandpass. The party will meet near the Orugodawatta Government's Stores at 3.30 pm and proceed to Kosgashandiya along Avissawella Road, Orugodawatta and Stace Road.

The New Left Front will hold its rally at Gunasinhapura. The procession will travel to Gunasinhapura through the Vella Street, Armour Street, Sumanatissa Mawatha, Sangaraja Mawatha, Panchikawatta Road, Maradana, Elphinstone, Technical Junction and Mihindu Mawatha.
