A fund raiser for the betterment of the youth and for the less privileged will go on the boards in Moratuwa with support from leading singers and musicians. Entitled 'Stars in Harmony - 2004' the show will be held on Saturday May 22 at the Buddhist Hall, Moratuwa, from 6.30 p.m. onwards. The band Lankika & the Golden Chimes will be in the centre spot as a performing band as well as providing the backing for all the guest artistes who are leading lights in the scene. The spotlight will fall on Annesley Malawana, Indrani Perera, Anil Bhareti, Ronnie Leitch, Priya Peiris of La Bambas, Christine Gunawardena, Tilak Perera and many more. Colourful dance sequences will be provided by Solar Heat, and the show compered by Faizal Bongso. The fund raiser is organised by the Church of Ceylon Youth Movement Moratuwa Deanery and tickets for this worthy cause are available at the Chamin Recording Studio. In the meantime Chanaka and Lankika of Golden Chimes who were working hard on a new audio cassette along with their sons Chameen and Chamila will release the cassette and CD titled 'Songs of Jesus' - a non stop collection of praise and worship songs - on Sunday May 9 at the Holy Emmanuel Church, Moratuwa during the 7.30 service. The music arrangements are by Primal Fernando of Golden Chimes and the tracking was done at the Back to the Bible Studio. |
