Song bird Aanjali to gather more fans

Just after her gig today singer Aanjali and the Rhythm Knights will be off overseas for a contract that will keep them in all probability for a few months out of the Sri Lanka music scene.

Winner of the Golden Clef Music Award 2002 for Trio of the Year, Aanjali's singing style and voice quality has always been a major plus for her, which has earned her many fans over the years. She has been playing many weddings and private function dates, these past months.

Her repertoire is a remarkable stretch from hits of the early years to contemporary, evergreens, standards, Latin, rock and songs in different languages like Sinhala, Hindi, Japanese, Arabic to name a few. But what we all enjoy is her expression of soul hits which is in a class of its own, since she enjoyed success singing soul with her brother Bobby who unfortunately is not in Sri Lanka to delight soul fans and give spice to the music scene.

However Aanjali continues the good music that runs in the family.
