Eight clubs from Central Region in final round

Eight clubs from the Central Region have entered the final round of the Division III cricket tournament of the Sri Lanka Cricket which is conducted by the Kandy District Cricket Association on behalf of Sri Lanka.

The teams that have entered the final round are University of Peradeniya, Gampola Cricket Club, Galagedera Cricket Club and Sutherland Cricket Club, Kadugannawa (all from Kandy District), Slazenger Cricket Club, Rambukkana, Black Iron Stars Cricket Club, Galigamuwa (from the Kegalle District), Ginigathena Sports Club and Hatton Athletic and Cricket Club (Nuwara Eliya District). All matches are expected to be completed by the 16th of this month, according to the Chairman Tournament Committee of the Kandy District Association M. Zarook.

The Secretary of the Kandy District CA Janaka Pathirana said that the officials of the Association will be present during the final round matches and will endeavour to assist the clubs.
