Rugby goes 'live' on www.srilankasports.com

www.srilankasports.com Sri Lanka's first and only online sports portal will bring you live coverage of Sri Lanka Rugby Football Union's Caltex 'A' Division Interclub Club League Rugby Tournament in a score format, via internet.

Having broken into the rugby live scoring last year in their attempts to popularise the game for a global following the local sports website claims that there was a huge following on the part of the Sri Lankan expatriate rugby followers.

"In our attempt to give equal prominence to all sports, we broke into live coverage of rugby, we found out last that there is a huge demand for school rugby among Lankan expatriates, so we have planned to cater to their demand too this year" said Leonard Ratnayake of www.srilankasports.com. He further said this is the first step of many things to come from his company to popularise rugby and other sports in Sri Lanka which has lost their face against popularity of cricket in Sri Lanka.
