JKOA gets ISO 9001 John Keells Office Automation (Pvt) Ltd. (JKOA), a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings Limited, has been awarded ISO 9001 2000 Standards for Quality Management System by the Netherlands-based Det Norseke Veritas. One of the first office automation companies in Sri Lanka to acquire the ISO 9002 certification in 1998, JKOA has now climbed one step higher to meet the requirements of the new version of the International Standards Organization. ISO 9001:2000 standard is a performance-based system. Therefore it assures a more focused organization and emphasizes on people development, whereby a company could develop an effective system to maximize human resources. JKOA is the sole authorized distributor for the world-renowned Toshiba office automation products in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. The JKOA portfolio of products also includes Digital photocopiers, Analogue copiers, state of the art laptop computers and fax machines. Office automation is becoming extremely competitive. However, we managed to maintain the market leadership position because we have a range of quality products backed by world-class after sales service that is widely known as 2611+1 that has become the benchmark in the office automation industry of Sri Lanka.
