FACETS stalls sold out

All 104 stalls for Sri Lanka's 14th FACETS Gem and Jewellery Show to be held on September 6 - 8 at Hilton Colombo are sold out.

There will be seven foreign stalls this year, from India, Myanmar (for the first time) Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia.

The stallholders from India and Myanmar will come in on a barter or exchange basis. In reciprocity, Sri Lanka participated at the IISC Mumbai Gem and Jewellery Exhibition, held from July 15 - 19. The Sri Lanka Gem and Jewellery Association (SLGJA) represented by Chairman, FACETS organising committee, Macky Hashim, Akram Mansoor, Juzar Adamaly and M S M Fazly made use of the opportunity to promote the FACETS show among those present. SLGJA will also participate at the Thai Gem and Jewellery show in October this year.

The Chief Guest at the FACETS show this year will be a Thai buyer Hao Tang, who visits Sri Lanka frequently to buy gems, executive director of the FACETS Secretariat, Firoze Hassan said. Tang is the president of T R Gems Ltd, Bangkok, Thailand.
