Samanalaya - a new remix

Remember the song 'Samanalaya' which was made popular by the group Diamonds. Well, this song composed by Tilak Perera was sung by the bassist Mahendra Ranasuriya with Preethi Fernando and recorded at the Gypsies Recording Studio. The music was directed by the acknowledge keyboardist Claude Fernando and the late Victor Dalugama.

Later the song was released with three other songs Daya, Govi Rala, and Andavu Siganna by Harendra Record Bar. Karunaratne Abayasekera was responsible for the lyrics of Govi Rala; which Tilak composed the rest.

Now the song Samanalaya was remixed and recorded by Tilak Perera at the Torana Studios with an up and coming vocalist Anuradha Mendis backed by the band of Rajiv Sebastian.

The song will be included in a CD containing songs of the 70's to be released by Torana.

Tilak, an active livewire of the Moratuwa Arts Forum is a guest singer with the one solo artist Nihal Fernando.
