Sri Lanka swimmers clinch Dr. Kailasam Trophy by Leslie Fernando Sri Lanka Schools swimmers put up a fine performance to retain the overall title and carry away the Dr. Sadayavel Kailasam Challenge Trophy for the third consecutive year at the 3rd Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka Schools' dual Age Group Swimming Championships hosted and conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools' Aquatic Sports Association and concluded at the S. Thomas' College swimming pool, Mt. Lavinia last Sunday. The locals had 964 points in the two-day meet to India's 239 points in the 98 events in six age categories and open. Sri Lanka Schools also emerged boys overall champions and girls overall champions too. Sri Lanka collected 470 points in the girls to India's 146 points and in the boys Sri Lanka totalled 494 points to India's 93 points. |
