The World Trade Centre

A Manhatten-style office complex that dominates the skyline of Colombo's capital is the World Trade Centre located at Fort.This ultra modern glass and stainless steel skyscraper may not be as famous as America's World Trade Centre that was destroyed by a terrorist attack on September 11, 2001 or the world's tallest structures, the Petronas Towers in Malaysia, but they are our very own 'Twin Towers'. They are called the East and West towers.

Standing at 550 feet (without the basement), it houses banks, restaurants and the headquarters of countless national and multinational business enterprises. It is surrounded by leading five star hotels, and business and entertainment centres. The magnificent towers of the 39-storey commercial project are connected by a four level shopping and business complex housing over 100 local and foreign companies and restaurants.
