UNP ready to topple Govt in April - Rajitha

By Kurunegala Special Correspondent

UNP stalwart and Kalutara District MP Rajitha Senaratne yesterday told a party re-organising meeting in Polgahawela that the main opposition would be ready for a General Election by March, next year and would topple the Government in April.

"We are re-organising the party and we will be ready for elections by the end of March," Senaratne told the party supporters.

"We will topple the Government in April and win the subsequent elections and form a stable Government," he said.

He said the UNP was planning to hold a mass protest in Colombo and suburbs next Friday (24)
