Oman Air increases flights Oman Air will introduce new cost effective distribution methods such as web booking for travel agents, passengers and Ticketing soon, said Country Manager Oman Air Ghalib Salim. He made these comments addressing the Agents Annual Awards Night recently in Colombo. Oman Air has increased weekly flights from 260-335 and have most freqencies out of Muscat with 117 flights per week representing 35% of the entire movement. Oman Air flew 926,933 passengers in 2003 compared to 847,846 in 2002 registering an increase of 8.53 percent.He said "we are committed to bringing you the future technology today by operating the world's youngest and modern fleet of B 737-700 and 800 NG series. These are equipped with the latest seating, entertainment and cabin interiors. We stress more on our customer services both on ground and inflight providing the passenger both comfort and safety." For those interested in shopping Oman is the shoppers paradise with Malls providing all major brands and electronics at reasonable prices. We hope we can work together to promote dual tourism of Sri Lanka and Oman and derive benefits from this industry. Salim said tha Oman has a lot to offer on tourism including its culture and heritage, mountain trekking and fascinating caves, bird watching, kayaking exploring extensive distance of Oman's beautiful coastline, dolphin watching and game fishing, snorkelling and diving with its fine coral sea. |
