Microsoft wins 'Most Innovative Stall' award

Microsoft was adjudged the 'Most Innovative stall' at the recently concluded ASOCIO ICT exhibition held at the BMICH.

The title was awarded by a panel of judges appointed by the ASOCIO committee. Microsoft offered visitors to ASOCIO a world-class IT exhibit - showcasing the latest in Microsoft's innovations.

The Microsoft stall was a one-stop experience of Microsoft Solutions and the global developments envisaged by Microsoft.

The Microsoft stall drew IT enthusiasts through a wide range of interesting demonstrations.

Microsoft specialists were at hand to demonstrate how Microsoft can be used to develop simple applications. Live workings of Microsoft solutions were also demonstrated, to reflect their practicality in application.

Visitors were also able to experience Microsoft technology hands on at the stall, where a self running demonstration area was set up to enable visitors to listen to presentations over their headsets. These presentations demonstrated tools such as Active Directory, .net, Web Service, BI, Data warehousing, Exchange, Windows 2000 Server, Office and Connected Productivity.

Presentations on a giant screen were made at the stall, throughout the duration of the ASOCIO summit, on Microsoft Success Stories, Microsoft Road Map, Connected Productivity - Microsoft Share point Server, Office, Windows Server product range, which can be used to improve connectivity and productivity in an organizations working environment. The Real Time Scenario included role plays by Gateway Kids to demonstrate the hot features of Microsoft Office.

The Most Innovative Stall prize was awarded to Microsoft by the judging panel, due to the attractiveness, sophistication, unique design and concept of the stall.

Other criteria on which Microsoft ranked high were - the colourfulness of the stall, stall display and layout and high quality display material, which helped them secure the award.
