Latest Electrolux appliances by Abans Electrolux (Sweden) once the dominant brand in Europe and now world over, launched the innovative designs of power appliances for Kitchens, Cleaning and Outdoor use, recently at the Abans Elite Showroom at Welisara. A large gathering of customers and officials, were present along with chairperson of Abans, Aban Pestonjee and other Directors. Abans, the Company synonymous with all globally leading brands in electronics and home appliances has been the Sole Agency for Electrolux in Sri Lanka for many years. At the launch were two representatives of Electrolux, the principal company Sean Carney, Director of Brand and Design Strategy and Giacomo Santoro, Business Development Manager along with the Directors of Abans Group. The highlight of the launch was the Trilobite Vacuum Cleaner - The world's first automatic vacuum cleaner that 'Sees' obstacles using ultra sounds. It starts automatically when a time is set. In-built sensors help it to navigate around furniture and prevent it from bumping into them or even falling down the stairs. The fascinating feature is that it knows automatically when the power is low and travels back to its charger for recharging and continues cleaning after it's fully recharged. A lawn mowing equipment too with similar unique features was displayed. The device mows the lawn on its own moving about silently avoiding any impingement on its way. There was also the world's most silent Vacuum Cleaner - the Ultra-Silencer, another spectacular appliance. Weighing only 5.4 kg, it cleans at a low-noise level without disturbing even those at sleep. The Oxygen-filtering system in this ensures a clean atmosphere, which is a risk factor not overcome in the conventional vacuum cleaners. Besides the Multi-function upholstery nozzle, adapts to the shape of the furniture arrangement in any room. Ergorapido Cordless Floor Polisher too is an innovative model where a separate detachable hand-held unit is included for polishing areas where the bigger unit cannot enter and especially tables and other furniture surfaces above the ground. The dust pick-up/ emptying efficiencies too have been enhanced having a stronger battery but operating in a quieter manner. Also the Oxygen Air Cleaner is the first of its kind, which not only cleans the floor but also the air, using the Active Carbon Filter to reduce odours while removing dust, mould, and pet allergens from the atmosphere around. Working quieter than a whisper, the machine is ideal for indoors where ornamental plants are kept since, it filters more than 99.95% of all pollens, spores & household dust even those that is 15 times smaller than the diameter of the human hair. In addition to these there were the Timeline Washing Machine, which saves on water, 'Washy talky' Top Loading Washing Machine Indian Innovation) the World's first talking WM. The representatives of Electrolux said that in manufacturing new designs, a worldwide research is done with technicians from diverse regions that come up with features that go well for their respective people groups. |
