First super luxury property development project opened by Don Asoka Wijewardena Premier Pacific Pinnacle, Sri Lanka's first super luxury property development project which has been constructed using high technology was opened by Shiranthi Rajapakse, wife of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakse on Tuesday at Duplication Road, Colombo 4. The complex which can withstand any natural disaster such as tremors has been constructed with a strong foundation replete with state-of-the-art facilities. Minister of Industries, Tourism and Investment Promotions Anura Bandaranaike was the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony. Premier Pacific Chairman and Managing Director Nimal Perera told the media that the need for quality housing and commercial complexes had emerged from fairly recent times in Sri Lanka and added that city dwellers, like in most developing countries, had been interested in apartment living in a mixed development concept rather than sole abodes as there was a growing public acceptance to have a choice for living and shopping. Perera said that Premier Pacific had prioritised rationalising energy in this new complex as the entire lighting system of the complex was scientifically designed with maximum energy safety devices - not using electricity from the national grid and added that all the electricity requirements were being met by generators. He said that the construction of the Premier Pacific Pinnacle was the architectural brainchild of Errol Siriwardena and Chinthaka Nikapitiya. When asked about any new constructions undertaken by the company,C Perera said that a new complex called "Premier Pacific Topaz" with 200 storeys and consisting of 120 studio units and 49 residential apartments were being constructed and due for completion in 2006. |
