SIM launches 50 executive corporate training programs The Singapore Institute of Management (SIM), Singapore's largest human resource development organisation, announced its partnership with Sri Lanka's TMMP International (Pvt) Ltd to launch nearly 50 executive training programs in Sri Lanka. These programs will be conducted from May to December this year with each program ranging from two to three days. SIM will leverage its network of trainers to create the same international learning experience it has successfully fostered in Singapore. Industry professionals from the United States, UK, Australia. New Zealand and Singapore will lead the programs which have been specially chosen to meet the dynamic knowledge needs of executives in Sri Lanka. Topics to be covered include Banking and Finance, Communication Skills, Customer Service, General Management, Sales and Marketing, together with Team Leadership and Interpersonal Skills. Chairman of TMMP Ram Raj said that the pilot project two years ago to introduce SIM programs had yielded very encouraging results. "In 2004, Sri Lankan executives attending corporate training programs at SIM in Singapore increased four-fold within one year, from 50 participants in 2003 to more than 200 in 2004", he said. Divisional Training Director of SIM, Lim Kuan Meng said that SIM's innovative and comprehensive range of executive training programs were highly regarded by local and international corporations in Singapore. "For the last four decades, SIM has played a crucial role in helping corporations in Singapore develop their human resources to meet the knowledge needs of the nation", he said. |
