John Ward to step up production Established in Sri Lanka, as a BOI company at IPZ Katunayake in 1993 with the then Chairman Peter Ward of John Ward and Sons (Group) Ltd, the company manufacturing a range of high quality industrial gloves, has gone from strength to strength. Exporting to over 40 countries, it was one of the first companies in Sri Lanka to be awarded the ISO 9001:2000 International Standard Quality System and more recently ISO 14001:1996 Environmental System. Despite severe competition from China, the company has established itself as a quality and innovative manufacturer. Its strength lies in its ability to change quickly to market needs and its commitment to a strong R&D program, thereby constantly striving to improve its quality and bring new products to the market and at the same time remaining competitive in price. Such is the case with the recent development of a new range of Maxiflex gloves with a micro foam breathable coating, of which sales are increasing monthly. With its dedicated workforce and highly qualified and experienced management team, the future looks bright, so much so that the company will substantially increase its production capacity over the coming months. |
