Donations beef up Tiger FDLS by Ranga Jayasuriya The LTTE has used the donated tin sheets earmarked for tsunami victims to beef up its Nagarkovil Forward Defence Line (FDL), Security Forces yesterday complained backing the allegation with photographic evidence. The tin sheets donated by the local and international NGOs and the government had been used to strengthen the Nagarkovil FDL and bunkers, Security Forces officials said. The photographs taken by the soldiers on the ground and carried in the Army website show the LTTE side of Nagarkovil FDL before and after the tsunami. The FDL earlier covered with palmyra leaves has now been barricaded with tin sheets, the pictures reveal. |
