Tag Heuer sponsors South West Monsoon Golf Tournament TAG Heuer will be tying up with the Royal Colombo Golf Club to sponsor this year's South West Monsoon Golf Tournament. The sponsorship comes in the wake of the global launch of the first-ever professional Golf Watch. With the TAG Heuer sponsorship, the South West Monsoon Tournament will be called the "TAG Heuer South West Monsoon Challenge." The top award for the tournament will be a TAG Heuer Tiger Woods Limited Edition Professional Golf Watch. This is the first-ever professional golf watch, developed and worn by Tiger Woods to meet the unique ergonomics demand of golfers. The lucky winner of the "hole-in-one" will also get a TAG Heuer watch from Colombo Jewellery Stores, distributors for TAG Heuer watches in Sri Lanka. Golfers will now be able to register for the tournament at the Royal Colombo Golf Club. The closing date for registrations is the 8th June 2005. Only 220 entries will be accommodated on a first come first serve basis. The tournament is open to all members (RCGC mens section) who will play off their current club handicap. The maximum handicap permitted will be 28. The event will be held throughout 3 weekends starting on the 12, 18th and 19th June, with the grand finale and the prize giving on the 25th June 2005. The competition will be over 18 holes. In the event of a tie, the winner will be adjudged on the basis of the gross score over the back nine. |
