JVP pull out: A betrayal

by Rohan Mathes

The JVP is breaching the trust and betraying the people who gave them the mandate if they pull out of the 'Sandanaya' UPFA Government high-level UPFA political sources said. The President has been mandated to take necessary steps to set up structures for humanitarian work and disburse funds accordingly, both in government and LTTE controlled areas.

As a democratic leader she consults other major political parties as well. The people have also given another mandate to the 'Sandanaya' to govern the country.

There is no moral right whatsoever for the JVP to breach the trust of the people of this country, by withdrawing from the Alliance unilaterally, and paving the way for the downfall of the UPFA government, sources concluded.
