Alstron alliance to enhance athletic performance by Elmo Leonard Alstron Ltd, the pharmaceutical company has entered into an alliance with Crosstrack Healthcare Services to produce, distribute and market the Edge range of products which enhances athletic performance. The range was created by chairman, Power World Fitness Centre (PWFC) Talavou Allailima, a former member of the National Sports Council, a current Sri Lanka record holder and national champion. He is also a strength and nutrition sports consultant. As part of the marketing process PWFC and Astron concluded a two-day seminar series to inform and educate schools, clubs and national level athletes and coaching staff regarding the natural performance enhancing potential of the Edge range. Alston's managing director, Marise Deckker said that when Allalima approached Alston with his concept, they realised that there was a vast potential in the untapped market in Sri Lanka for such nutritional supplements. The range comprises, Energy, Slim, Power, Muscle and Recovery. Alstron believes that they have a good prospect for the company to provide people in Sri Lanka who are active in sports and concerned with fitness and feeling good, the opportunity to excel and achieve their goals which require quality products at prices within the reach of many. Alstron believes that the five Edge products on the market will contribute to Sri Lankan sports men and women excelling in what they do. They also believe that all those who do physical activity to keep fit and trim and those who need to recover physically will benefit from the use of the edge range of products, Deckker said. |
