SLT unveils business solutions for corporate customers by Indeewara Thilakarathne Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT), a premier service provider in the telecommunication and ICT sectors last week unveiled its business solutions for corporate customers to minimise their inventory requirements through reliability, speed and flexibility. "Today, the business community looks for quality Communication Solutions for their complex needs. They look for solutions that can be compatible with Private Circuits, leased lines and Internet Protocol based Virtual Private Network (IP-VPA). In addition to these business solutions SLT will soon introduce CDMA technology to its customers" said its Chairman Anil Obeysekara PC. "These intelligent Business Communication Solutions will help corporate customers to enjoy increased market share and achieve higher returns while maintaining the highest security and data protection devices" said CEO SLT Shuhei Anan. He said that this will strengthen SLT's position as an undisputed integrated communication service provider. These Intelligent Solutions are built on the technological superiority of the NTT Communication Corporation of Japan with the technological impetus of local experts and support diverse platforms in the areas of data, voice and networking. The services offered in the solutions are supported by a MPLS (Multi Protocol Label Switching) based IP backbone built on islandwide SLT optical fibre ring network. The IP backbone offers a host of services such as IP-VPN, ADSL, voice VPN's and broadband centred hosting. SLT's state-of-the-art Internet Data Centre complements all the services by handling hosting and housing requirements of customers' mission critical applications. SLT has also extended its services in offering wideband connectivity to international destinations using International Private Leased Circuits (IPLC) over SEA-ME-WE undersea cable and satellite routes. |
