Lanka Bell sponsors RCGC October medal

Golf Club's (RCGC) October Medal on Saturday 01st October 2005. The Tournament's competition will be over 18 holes and is open to RCGC members who will play off their lowest Club handicap, with the maximum handicap permitted being 28.

Lanka Bell's General Manager, Sales Marketing & Customer Care, Rishad Mansoor said, "We're happy to team up with the RCGC on this event and be part of the exciting world of golf. The October Medal has generated great enthusiasm among the participants and we are certainly glad to be part of it".

The competitions of the Monthly Medal Tournament include the following categories "A" Division (0-09), "B" Division (10-18), "C" Division (19-28), Seniors' Division and Masters' Division. The overall winner will receive a Lanka Bell CDMA telephone.

RCGC Captain Elmo de Silva said, "The Royal Colombo Golf Club has great pleasure in conducting the first ever Lanka Bell Stroke Play Golf Tournament. We are expecting over 230 golfers to take part and are confident Lanka Bell will make this an annual event."
