Inter-International Schools athletic meet Sept. 26 and 27 in K'gala

The Inter-International Schools athletic meet will be held on September 26 and 27 at the Maloga Stadium in Kurunegala. The Association of International Schools in Sri Lanka are keen to raise the standard of sports in their organisation and it is seen as a good sign for the future. Around 35 schools from around the country are expected to participate.

The meet will be for both boys and girls.

The events will be: Under 11:75 metres, 100 metres, high jump, long jump and 4x100 metres relay.

Under 13: 100 metres, 200 metres, high jump, long jump and 4x100 metres relay.

Under 15: 100 metres, 200 metres, 400 metres, high jump, long jump, putt shot, discus throw, 4x100 metres relay and 4x400 metres relay (boys only). Under 17 and 19: 100 metres, 200 metres, 400 metres, 800 metres, 1,500 metres (for under 19 boys only), 4x100 metes relay, 4x400 metres relay and long jump (boys only)

Over 19 and under 21: 100 metres, 200 metres and 400 metres.
