Airwick air-fresheners adds zest to aroma Reckitt Benckiser added a new range of `Airwick' air fresheners into its portfolio. Reckitt re-branded their hitherto well-known Haze range of air fresheners into their new Airwick brand. The Airwick brand was doing well around the world and the Haze range held the largest market share in Sri Lanka, Reckitt's head of marketing Bertram Paul said. For air fresheners, Reckitt has no significant competitor in Sri Lanka, the company's head of sales, Suren Abeywickrema said. Reckitt Benckiser, earlier known as Reckitt and Colman, has had its presence, here since 1962. Earlier a quoted company; since 1999 its shares were bought up by its parent in London. Sri Lanka has one of the best potentials for the Reckitt range of products in South Asia, Paul said. Airwick is intended to unfold the fragrance of the garden, indoors. The new Airwick range comprises three products, air fresheners in the form of aerosol sprays, crystal light (ornamental gels) and 'electricals.' Electricals are electric plug-in-air fresheners, being introduced to Sri Lanka. The electricals come with a heater, where the fragrance of green tea, lavender and aqua flora, which lasts for 100 days if plugged on for 12 hours per day. Another product in the range is Crystal Light which is an ornament and fragranced in peach, citrus and lavender, meant to be used in rooms, wardrobes and desktops. (EL) |
