HP helps Lankan businesses improve archiving and info management Sri Lankan companies are increasingly aware of the need for lifecycle management (ILM) solutions to better control and benefit from the vast amounts of information they are gathering today. This need, especially for companies in the areas of financial solutions, telecommunications, information technology and public services, is fuelling a growing demand for such solutions that HP believes will continue to grow rapidly. In line with that HP conducted a seminar titled "Redefine the Art of Storageworks 2006" designed to enlighten local companies in Sri Lanka on the value and benefits of such solutions. "We are working with our partners in Sri Lanka to help local companies enhance their use of technology to gain better control of their archiving and information management," said Steven Kim, General Manager, Hewlett Packard, AEC. Speaking at the event in Colombo, Bernard Chitty, Director, Hewlett Packard, Storageworks Division SEA said that as users become increasingly mobile, the need for businesses to retrieve information quickly and efficiently is ever more important to their competitive advantage. "As data management needs grow unabated HP is helping lower IT costs and most organisations in Sri Lanka turn to HP for the industry's best storage solutions", said Chrishan Fernando, Country Sales Manager, Technology Solutions Group, Sri Lanka and the Maldives, Hewlett-Packard. A diverse segment of CEOs, IT Managers and representatives from the financial services, telecommunications' garment and public sectors attended the event. |
