MDRT president visits Lanka Stephen Rothschild, President of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), the USA-headquartered forum for the world's elite life insurance sales people, was in Sri Lanka last week to address a forum of insurance professionals. Rothschild was the first executive member of the MDRT to visit the country. Ceylinco Life, which was the first local insurer to produce qualifiers to the MDRT, organised an 'MDRT Day' for nominees of all players in the life insurance sector, to provide local insurance professionals with an opportunity to learn from one of the world's top life insurance salesmen. This was the first coming together of the highly competitive insurance companies at a single forum, the company said. Addressing the forum, Rothschild said the Sri Lankan membership at the MDRT had grown by more than 100 per cent last year. He lauded the initiative taken by Ceylinco Life to share knowledge with peer companies in the sector, on the understanding that competition is healthy and beneficial to the industry. |
