Emphasis on CFA implementation

The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) last week emphasised the need to make use of the Geneva talks to ensure the proper implementation of the Cease Fire Agreement (CFA).

Speaking to the Sunday Observer, TNA parliamentarian Mavai Senathiraja said, "this is the decisive moment. Maintaining the CFA is the basis for peace building".

He said his party stood by the LTTE's stance that no amendments be made to the truce.

Meanwhile, the Tamil United Liberation Front leader V.Anandasangaree has called on the government to revise the CFA.

'LTTE should assure that it would not continue to unleash violence' Anandasangaree stressed. (TS)
