Rajans snatch first innings win By our Kandy Sports corr. Dharmaraja turned in a fine performance to snatch first innings win over Ananda to regain the P. W. Perera challenge trophy in their school cricket match at Asgiriya yesterday. Ananda continuing their overnight score of 94 for 6 folded up for 125 against some deadly bowling by left arm spinner T. M. Perera who was well supported by Rukshan Sooriyarachchi who took 2 for 29. Dharmaraja: 183 and 122 for 6 decl. (A. J. Ranaraja 57, Upesh Wijesiri 20, V. Wijesuriya 3 for 27). Ananda: 125 all out (U. Peiris 25, Tharindu Perera 2 for 30, R. Y. Sooriyarachchi 2 for 29), and 62 for 1 in 15 overs at close (C. Herath 26, V. Wijesuriya 21). |
