Beauty most profound Two decades in beauty culture is indeed a milestone in any person's career. Amali Jayewardena has been in this business, long before many would have even thought of beauty culture.
What is more, she has been so consistent in the glamour business, that Amali has been the personal beautician to the first lady, Shiranthi Rajapakse. Till now she is her beautician.
To celebrate the occasion, Amali Jayawardena has organised an evening of fashion, beauty and of course the celebration will follow. As she proudly celebrates her two decades in beauty culture, she is ready to indulge in the latest in fashion, designer sarees, fantasy hairstyles and exquisite bridal designs. Amali Jayawardena along with her daughter Chathurika will hold one of the biggest and a well-represented bridal shows in town. The show will be held on February 26 at the Galle Face Hotel, Colombo.
Over 40 striking outfits will be on display. Beautiful models will take the ramp to showcase a number of bridal wear designs and exclusive bridal outfits. To add glamour to the show, an exclusive designer saree collection will be displayed by Fashion Fabrics. Flowers will be by courtesy of Second Change Flowers who is the official florist of the event. Wonderful intricate Costume Jewellery will be by courtesy ofGlamours. The model brides will adorn jewellery made by Glamours. Having started her career twenty years ago in a small salon in Nugegoda, today Amali has become a household name in the field of beauty culture. She is a familiar face on many TV programs and even in the newspapers. Amali has participated in many international fashion and bridal shows held in Thailand, Singapore and India.
Following in her mother's footsteps, Amali's daughter, Chathurika with her educational background in Singapore, India and Thailand has also opened a salon in Longden Place two years ago. Hair and make up at the mega event will be by Chathurika. Their Longden Place Salon is the only Franchise Clinic in Sri Lanka for reputed 'Shanaz Hussain' products.
