Kumar Sangakkara brand ambassador for Viva by Lal Gunesekera Sri Lanka's outstanding wicket-keeper-batsman Kumar Sangakkara, has been made the brand ambassador for Viva by GlaxoSmithKline, one of Sri Lanka's leading pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare companies. Making this announcement last Friday at the re-launching ceremony of the new improved Viva, which is a malted food drink, GlaxoSmithKline Corporate Affairs Director, Dehan Seneviratne, in a new marketing revamp, said that Viva is now packed with power boosters for youngsters who lead very active lives. "With Kumar Sangakkara to endorse Viva, the product promises energy, stamina and vigour to suit the lifestyle needs of our target group", said Seneviratne, who spoke about the nutritional value of the product and outlined the history of the company which is headquartered in the United Kingdom. Kumar Sangakkara said that it was a pleasure to accept the appointment of brand ambassador of Viva and that he had no second thoughts. He said "It has been a trusted brand over the years - from the time I could remember, and youngsters need nutritional drinks like Viva". Sangakkara further said that Viva promises the right nutritional needs for youngsters including various Vitamins like B12 and iron, and that its hassle free to make and tastes good. Among the others who attended the re-launching ceremony and announcement of Sangakkara as brand ambassador of Viva were the Sales Director of GlaxoSmithKline, Prem Kumar and its Brand Manageress, Ms. Shamali Perera.
