HP, a provider of blade server solutions launched the BladeSystem, an innovative and cost-efficient IT solution on Tuesday.

Blades are compact and efficient servers that saves space and power. It consolidates and integrates elements such as computing, storage, power and network resources into a single system, controlled by one management console.

Country Sales Manager, Chrishan Fernando said in the IT field the blade solution is revolutionary and has the power to do more. It enables businesses to simplify their infrastructure and reduce the cost of ownership.

Vice President HP Asia Pacific Tony Parkinson said the BladeSystem helps to build a competitive business enterprise through standard solutions.

To achieve this businesses and IT should synchronise. It is then that businesses could capitalise on IT benefits to make a difference.

The BladeSystem makes the business organisation efficient and responds more speedily in a competitive environment.

Simplicity, agility and value are the main benefits offered to a business organisation by the blade solutions.

Parkinson said to achieve corporate success through IT solutions organisations should understand customer needs.Therefore it is all about making business solutions through IT.

General Manager Technology Solutions Group Steve Kim said HP is optimistic that Sri Lanka's IT sector is progressing.

There is potential for cost-efficient IT solutions such as the HP Blade System.
