The government is to negotiate with the UNP to seek
the support of the main opposition for the 18th amendment which provides
for the setting up of five Regional Appeal Courts.
Kegalle District UNP MP, Rukman Senanayake is tipped
to be appointed as UNP Chairman on Tuesday when the Political Affairs
Committee meets under the Chairmanship of party leader Ranil
Wickremesinghe.
