Lankan women win first Kabaddi game
Sri Lanka women Kabaddi team won the first league encounter match
against Nepal in the 10th South Asian Games Kabaddi competition played
at the National Youth Centre, Maharagama yesterday.
Our local Kabaddi players faced absolutely no problem in forcing
ahead against the Nepalese. The side cleared one lona in the first half
to gain two extra points and go into the second half with a 14 point
lead (23-9). Sri Lanka players scored points at will off offensive raids
by Premawathi, Lakmini and Dilhani.
The final score Sri Lanka won by 26 points - 41-15. |
