Suntel Strategic partner for Entrepreneur of the year '05
Suntel, signed an MoU with the Federation of Chambers and Industry of
Sri Lanka (FCCISL), to become the Chambers' strategic partner for its
annual event 'Entrepreneur of the year 2005' awards program.
The event held for the 11th consecutive year and sponsored for the
second time by Suntel is to reward and recognise the spirit of
enterprise and leadership among Sri Lankan entrepreneurs.
The FCCISL together with Suntel plans to hold the regional award
ceremonies in November 2006 which will culminate with the ceremonious
selection of the "Sri Lankan Entrepreneur of the Year 2005" event
scheduled for December 2006.
At the ceremony MoU signing, Managing Director Suntel Jeremy Huxtable,
said "Marking our association for the 2nd year with the FCCISL we at
Suntel, recognize that businesses of any magnitude are built through the
enterprising and innovative spirit of the people that spearhead these
companies.
We understand the challenges faced by businesses today and we salute
those who have the courage and the resilience to take on these
challenges and emerge victorious."
As strategic partner of the event, Suntel will organise special sales
and promotional activities at the 24 regional branches of the FCCISL,
while offering special packages and customized services to SME
customers. Suntel also plans to give special recognition to any Suntel
customer that wins an award at the ceremony.
The awards open to any Sri Lankan entrepreneur who has played the
lead role in his or her organization for the past three years.
A special category for Woman Entrepreneur of the year has been
introduced at this year's event, in recognition of women who have
achieved excellence in building up their businesses. The highlight of
Sri Lankan Entrepreneur of the year 2005 will be three special awards
for the Tsunami affected entrepreneurs that will be awarded at
provincial and national level.
