Together for all

The peoples campaign now in progress to boost the morale of the security forces, the companions and guards of Lankas multi ethnic society, the neighbour, relative and the near and dear is most fitting. The forces have sacrificed their future and comfort to secure a presence for all of us.
We neither forget nor give them up when they are summoned to the front by circumstances of todays chaos and strife imposed by a group of terrorists. These brave civilians show their solidarity to the security forces personnel. This lucid picture speaks volumes of their commitment and contribution of their share of responsibility.
ANCL photographer Rukmal Gamage captured this scene when the security forces were handling the situation which erupted in Galle last week after the LTTE launched an attack on the Galle harbour.
