Access Engineering, awarded Rs. 1.1 billion contract

Access Engineering, Ltd., was awarded the contract for construction including detail design of major works at Hikkaduwa, Mirissa and Puranawella Fishery Harbours by M/s. CH2M Hill International of Denver USA funded by USAID under the Sri Lanka Tsunami Re-construction Program.

The contract signing took place at the US Embassy in Sri Lanka recently.

CH2M Hill is a global firm providing engineering, construction, operations and related technical services to public and private clients. With more than US$ 3.8 billion (Rs. 1.1 billion) in revenue, CH2M Hill is an industry leading program management, construction management, and design firm, as one of Engineering News Record (2006). Recognised in 2006 as one of Fortune magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For") and a "Most Admired Company," CH2M Hill has more than 18,000 employee in regional offices worldwide.

They are already carrying out construction work under the USAID Sri Lanka Tsunami Reconstruction Program including the reconstruction of the Arugam Bay Bridge.
