JHU to meet Indian PM

Hot on the heels of a meeting between a Tamil National Alliance delegation and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, the Jathika Hela Urumaya yesterday charged that the LTTE, through its proxies was conducting an international campaign to halt the security forces's capture of Vakarai.

JHU Leader Ellawala Medhananda Thera said the JHU leadership would meet Indian Premier to counter the LTTE strategy.

TNA MP R.Sampanthan led a delegation to India and sought New Delhi to bring pressure on the Sri Lankan Government. Ven. Medhananda Thera said the JHU would meet Indian leaders early next year to brief the Indian Leadership of the LTTE atrocities as the TNA Parliamentarians who met the Indian leaders have given only a one sided picture of the North and East issue.
