President to open Deyata Kirula national exhibition
President Mahinda Rajapaksa will open the Deyata Kirula national
exhibition, at the BMICH today.
The exhibition, is a mega event, after the famous 1964 Industrial
exhibition.
With much focus on education, it is the gateway to the ten-year
development horizon plan under the 'Mahinda Chintana' to usher in a
prosperous Sri Lanka within the next decade.
This event will attract large crowds as many State and private sector
institutions are playing a key role. The exhibition sponsored mainly by
the corporate sector will display 14 facets of national importance that
covers several aspects of human and social life.
The Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited (Lake House) will run
several stalls to revive nostalgic memories and project the modern
capabilities of its press. The exhibition will be open from 10 a.m. to
midnight daily.
