Polythene disposal program

A polythene disposal program to prevent environment pollution will be launched by the Ministry of Environment shortly.

The objective of this program is to create awareness, especially among schoolchildren on the importance of creating a polythene-free environment in the country.

According to the program which will be initially launched in urban areas where polythene has become a prominent item among the public, Dustbins are kept at key places where people gather to enable them to throw degradable and non-degradable refuse separately.
