Singapore National Day celebrations in Colombo

'The City of Possibilities', Singapore celebrated her 42nd birthday
on August 09 at the Raja Bojun, Restaurant, Colpetty amidst an eminent
gathering of cabinet ministers, leading businessmen and distinguished
international personnel, hosted by Honorary Counsul-General for
Singapore in Sri Lanka, Deshamanya Dr. Lalith Kotelawala.
The High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Tan Kah Hoe said that for the
first time, the National Day Parade in Singapore was going to be held on
a floating platform at Marina Bay.
Singapore is continuously expanding its external linkages with the
world while Singapore-Sri Lanka bilateral relations have been sustained
through regular visits in the fields of finance, information and
technology, environmental management, public administration, civil
aviation and economic development.
Singapore stands as a beacon of light to all nations in the South
Eastern region and leads in many endeavours like the healthcare sector,
education, social science, arts and culture and management .
