CRICKET: Tamil Union after been bowled out for 191 runs hit back
strongly to reduce Kandy YCC to 64 for 4 in their first innings on the
opening day of their SLC under 23 division one cricket tournament match
which commenced at the P. Saravanamuttu Stadium yesterday.

Centuries from Amila Vitharana and Janitha Silva helped Kalutara TC
rattle up a commanding 382 for 7 in their first innings on the opening
day of their SLC under 23 division one cricket tournament match against
Sebastianites SC which began at Moratuwa yesterday.

Geeth (125) helps Saracens reach 265
Left hander Geeth Alwis struck fine 125 to see Saracens reach 265 in
their Premier Under 23 cricket match against SSC at Maitland Place
yesterday.
Saracens who were sent into bat first were helped by two more useful
innings by Thilina Masmulla (54), and Samith Dharshana (42). Sachitra
Senanayke ( 5 for 71) was the pick of the SSC bowlers.
