Netball in a mess...

NETBALL: The National Netball team received the shock of their lives when they were informed that the players cannot use the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium hereafter due to non-payment of hiring charges. Netball training was on in preparation for the Five Nations Tourney in Singapore next month.

Around three lakhs of rupees have not been paid to the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium by the Netball Federation of Sri Lanka for use of the stadium. The netball authorities have used the stadium for junior and senior national teams and also for international matches. There has been changes in the administration of the Netball Federation of Sri Lanka, but no one seems to be bothered about the payment to be made to the Sugathadasa Stadium authorities.

According to reliable sources, the Netball Federation of Sri Lanka at first didn't pay the authorities at Austrasia Sports Complex authorities at Thalawathugoda too and were asked to quit the premises and then they came over to the Sugathadasa Stadium Indoor Stadium.
