Four-member team for Asian Age group meet

SWIMMING: Three synchronised swimmers Elisha Gomes, Dehara
Katepiarachchi, Rasa Esusally and solitary swimmer Heshan Unamboowe will
represent Sri Lanka at the Asian Age Group Aquatic Championships to be
held from today till August 30 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union (SLASU) selected the four-member-team
for this championships according to their current performances in both
synchronised swimming and swimming.
At the last championships Meshan won two gold medals in his pet event
50 and 100 metres Back Stroke held in China. Meanwhile Elisha and Dehara
won gold medals in their respective events at the Hong Kong Open
Synchronised Swimming Championships held last year. Elisha, Dehara and
Rasa will compete in the Paddler Stroke, Egg Beater Stroke and Figure
Competition events.
Heshan will swim in four events - 200 metres Free Style, 50 metres
Back Stroke, 100 metres Back Stroke, 200 metres Back Stroke and 200
metres Individual Medley. Akri Ameer will be the manager of the team. He
will also attend the Annual Asian Swimming Federation Congress during
the championships.
