WorldWide Immigration Consultancy Services Ltd. (WWICS) with Global
Placement Services (GPS) which provides professional guidance and
training programs to immigrants will assist 32 Sri Lankans to migrate to
Canada and Australia early next year.
"Resettlement is a major change for an individual or an organisation
and it involves a long transition period before the actual resettlement,
said Assistant Director GPS, Global Operations, Dwayne Bellemore.
He said the transition period requires professional assistance for
change management that calls for conformity to immigration and other
laws of the land, networking with authorities, corporates and
professionals, registration and licensing before complete resettlement.
"Education and healthcare facilities are the primary reasons for
people to migrate and those who have settled down in the country of
their choice have forged a new life", Bellemore said.
He said the WWICS and GPS over the years have helped people with pre
and post landing professional training and other vital services to
ensure that new immigrants have a safe resettlement.
The decline in the young population in developed countries has paved
the way for more employment opportunities for skilled workers from other
countries.
WWICS, Branch Manager Ajith Rajkumar said clients receive a
customised solution from counsellors who empower them with information
and skills.
The WorldWide Group which started operations in Canada in 1993 was
set up by Lt. Col. B.S. Sandhu, a retired officer of the Indian Army who
decided to settle down in Canada.
The organisation has established global networks in Latin America,
UK, Middle East, Australia, South East Asia and East Africa.
The WorldWide Group with over 700 professionals working across 12
countries set up operations in Sri Lanka in 2006. |
