Bopitiya Auto Enterprises wins Presidential Award 2006
Bopitiya Auto Enterprises (BAE) won the Presidential Award 2006 (in
the Lathe and Small Engineering category) at the Presidential Awards at
the Shilpa-2006 ceremony held recently.
Managing Director of BAE B. K. J. F. Rodrigo commenting on the
success of his company said that BAE has shown a steady growth in the
past. BAE was started in 1980 and today we are capable of producing a
large number of motor spare parts for any vehicle from Morris Minor to
any modern motor car or heavy vehicle.
We use Japanese, Indian, Taiwan and Malaysian technologies. From the
beginning we supplied the orders on time and maintained high quality.
This industrial discipline led the company to success, he said.
BAE won the 2004 Presidential award at the Shilpa National Industrial
Award, the best entrepreneur award 2003 organised by the Federation of
Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sri Lanka (FCCISL) and Best
Industrialist award in 2004 and 2005 from the National Industrial Board.
BAE distributes its products all over the country and the company
offers guarantee certificates for all its products. Rodrigo said that
BAE products have already captured a significant share in the Sri Lankan
market and competes with imported auto parts.
We now plan to expand in the local market and hope to start exporting
our products. Our success is driven by the dedicated and experienced
staff of the company and this award is due to their efforts, Rodrigo
said. |
